1) Become a Vendor
Already 60 Registered Vendors and no vendor fees! Full time and occasional vendors are welcome. The market is open to local farmers, gardeners, artists, crafters, artisans, makers, bakers, youth vendors, service groups, community organizations and local business. Register simply with our online form. The market runs every Saturday from June 1st to September 28th under the roof of the the large rink at the Calabogie Community Centre. On June 29th & August 17th the market is held at the the beautiful Barnet Park and Cottage on Calabogie Lake. Learn more about our venues….

There are many ways to get involved as a volunteer to help build this not for profit community hub. The Market is entirely managed by volunteer work and donations at this time. If your a Highschool student looking for community service hours the market is a wonderful place you will enjoy. We’re always looking for people to help with market setup and take down, To help at the community/info booth, sign set up, putting up posters, writers for media, photographers, traffic control, market vendor attendant, greeters, vendor and market outreach and more. 3) Come play with Musical Mayhem Jam Band
The market is a vibrant place to share music with great vendors and event days. The music aspect will be hosted by MUSICAL MAYHEM. – Open Jam Band. It is a open jam and open mic format hosted by local musicians who range from beginners to old hands. Anyone that wants to play, sing or just provide rhythm support is welcome to participate. Bring your acoustic instruments and favourite songs along and join in the fun.. All music should be acoustic (we have limited access to power at the market ) and appropriate for an all ages event. 4) become a Special Guest
The market will have special festival days, guests speakers, live demonstrators, workshops and entertainers through the season. As examples we have a live sheep shearing demo, spinning, felting, weaving, guests speakers on food, health, gardening and agriculture with more. We have kids activities at every market, with more built onto that on special festival days. So you can also apply to be a special guest for the kids aspects of the market. 4) Connect Your Organization
The market is built as a community hub and designed to promote, showcase, and share with the many organizations, learning centres, guilds, clubs, groups that wish to be part of it. If you provide us with some info we will share it at our community table. If you come out to at least one market day to share with all the visitors of the market we will build a personal profile in the vendor directory and share you across our networks. We will also add you to the list below and be working on many other ways the market can benefit your organization. Calabogie Women’s Institute
Established since 1934! The main focus of the Calabogie WI is friendship, charitable giving and education for their members and the community, through information-sharing, demonstrations and yearly cultural outings.
The Calabogie WI is involved in funding for local causes such as the Food Bank, at local hospitals and in the community. They are involved in maintaining community history and supporting local fairs. The branch purchased baby change tables for installation at the Calabogie Community Center and Barnet Cottage Park where the market is held. Learn more
Calabogie & Area Home Support
Calabogie Home Support is an integral part of community support services and first opened its doors to the Calabogie and surrounding area in 1987. The main services include transportation for seniors and disabled persons to attend medical appointments and do their banking and shopping; provision of frozen meals; and telephone security/assurance.. Calabogie 55+ Club
Active social club with 144 members that meets on the last Thursday of each month. These meetings are dinner meetings and are either catered, potluck or held at local restaurants in Calabogie. Want more Info Click Here
The Falls Prevention Programs help seniors stay healthy, active, and mobile. If you are 65 years of age or older, you can join Falls Prevention classes offered free of charge.
This program is Heart Wise Certified allowing for a safe environment for those seniors recovering from cardiac and stroke interventions, COPD and diabetes.
-Open free to everyone over 65. Every Monday & Wednesday at the Community Center. 9 am to 10 am. No enrollment – just come to class. For more info you can go to the website or contact Susan Veale
Calabogie & Area Food Bank
Attached to the community table at the Market will be a Food Drive Box at the Market. The Calabogie Food Bank Services all of Greater Madawaska. Located at 538 Mill Street in Calabogie. Earth Haven Learning Centre
Earth Haven Learning Centre offers workshops, courses, and educational resources, on restorative and sustainable agriculture. To support this outreach they attend organic farming conferences, horticultural gatherings and Seedy Saturdays. They have a wide range of books and planting calendars, which are available online at www.earthhavenlearning.ca.
