Troy is a 8 year old kid that has been a Earth Ranger for 2 years. His first fundraising campaign was to help save the Grey Fox on Pelee Island. He held an animal themed birthday party, and instead of gifts he requested everyone instead donate to the campaign. He was able to raise $150 for the Grey Fox

This year, He chose the Monarch butterfly. Troy loves bugs and insects, and butterflies are his moms favorite. His fundraising goal is $500. To achieve this goal Troy has registered a booth with the Calabogie summer market and is working hard at making hand made items and growing his own flowers to sell. Through conversations he said how he is really excited to be a member of the Calabogie Community, to be able to participate in the Market and is very passionate about the well-being of our planet.

We are also excited to have Troy part of our community and the youth aspect is a important part of the Markets development for us. Come out to meet and support this wonderful kid towards helping the Monarch Butterfly.

A family-owned, family-run farm specializing in naturally grown fruits and vegetables, and naturally grown and hormone-free meats, including beef, pork and poultry. Long Lane Farms is run by Chris and Dan Norton, and Kristen Wagner, on the Norton family homestead, in beautiful Ashdad. The farm was started out of our keen interest in knowing where our food is coming from and how it’s grown and raised. Our vision is to provide our local community with naturally grown and sustainable food. We want our family, friends and neighbors to comment with their local farmer and know where their food comes from.

Yellowmoon Farm & Forest is a 53 acre diversified farm that follows ecological principles and facilitates experiential connections to local food systems.  Maple syrup products, including maple lemonade, garden vegetables, herbs, candles and edible flower mixes will be available at the Calabogie Summer Market. Soy free, pastured lamb, pork, gluten free sausages, duck, duck eggs and rabbit are available farm gate only.

*Note: Unfortunately at this time we are told by the health department that farmers are not allowed based on provincial regulations to sell frozen meat at the market. Yellowmoon Farm is still aloud to promote and take pre-orders. Calabogie Summer Market management plan to look more into this and figure out what needs to be done for this to be changed in the future. We will update as soon as we can get there. Thank you for your understanding.
